Medical Education and Training Outcomes

This project tracks the workforce outcomes of physicians who complete medical school and residency training in North Carolina. Using data from the NC Health Professions Data System and national GME tracking databases, we examine how many graduates remain in the state to practice, in what specialties, and in what communities. These analyses inform state investments in medical education and graduate medical education programs.
