Licensed Psychological Associates

Licensed Psychological Associates (LPAs) conduct psychological assessments, provide therapy and counseling, and deliver other clinical psychological services. LPAs are regulated by the North Carolina Psychology Board (NCPB). North Carolina’s LPA workforce totaled 709 active licenses in 2024, a rate of 0.65 LPAs per 10,000 population.
